About Health Communication & Digital Innovations (HCDI)

HCDI offers resources that enable researchers to build, develop and test innovative health communication and digital health solutions to improve clinical trial recruitment, participation and management, population health surveillance and patient/survivorship health management.

The HCDI shared resource acts as a gateway for researchers and practitioners who have interests in using social media, sensors, mobile devices or apps to improve recruitment, engagement and retention in population-based studies and clinical trials and conduct technology-based clinical and population health studies.

Research Symposia

The HCDI hosts semi-regular Symposia that highlight rigorous health communication innovations, including research findings that involve cutting edge technology in health-related research. Our events feature special guests from a diverse range of backgrounds, including industry to academia. See how you can broaden your research with novel methodologies by attending one of our events!

Health Communications and Digital Innovations Developing (HCDI) Shared Resource: The HCDI provides novel solutions and evidence-based strategies for improving health communication, behavioral interventions, patient-reported outcome research, and assessment of lifestyle risk behaviors within clinical and population-based studies; educates MCC members and their trainees on state-of-the art methods and measures in behavioral and population science; and develops new methods and tools to improve health communication strategies, behavioral interventions, and observational research.
